Chapel of Light Jewish Ceremonial Art
Sophie & Nathan Gumenick Chapel
This chapel designed by Architect Kenneth Treister, FAIA, an internationally known architect, sculptor, photographer, author and lecturer, could really bend the rules of construction. Using the Instament System, he was able to design and build a piece of architectural sculpture. The Chapel was completed in 1969 and was just recently restored and enhanced with exquisitely sculptured furnishings.
This building is an extraordinary vision in the best tradition and spirit of the Art & Crafts Movement.
